ANNUAL REPORT FOR ACADEMIC YEAR 2022-23

Bright Scholar Sr. Sec. School has always been committed to its mission of nurturing young mind and empowering students to reach their full potential. Our constant endeavour is to imbibe the inspiring principles of our school motto: Patriotism, Quality Education and Character Building in every child.

Our Managing Director, Ms. Samiksha Panwar was felicitated with The Education Stalwarts of sdwa the Year 2022 Award for her exemplary contribution in the field of education by Education Today. She believes in the multidisciplinary approach, leaving no stone unturned to explore avenues of growth and learning. At the helm, we have our esteemed Chairman, Mr. Surender Panwar, a man with a dream, His vision was simple yet profound: to establish a school that not only reigns supreme in our city but also etches its name in the annals of education. His unwavering commitment has paved the way for our remarkable journey towards excellence.

This report for the academic year 2022-23 is a reflection of our collective efforts, achievements, and dedication towards the holistic development of our students. Brightians persisted and excelled in the CBSE board exams and produced an exceptional result.

I Am proud to share that Yashvardhan Malik qualified for scholarship of National Talent Search Examination stage 2 conducted by NCERT and KISHORE VAIGYANIK PROTSAHAN YOGNA conducted by Indian Institute of Science (IISC) Bengaluru. He got 99.6 percentile in JEE MAINS and excelled in JEE Advanced.

We always shoulder the responsibilities with CBSE and accomplish the set goals to the utmost satisfaction of all the organizers and participants:

I feel happy to share that we have been entrusted with CBSE Skill Hub w.e.f. 2022 and the batch has successfully completed the training and received certificate of competition for the same.

The School has successfully participated in SAFAL (2023), we are successfully running the skill courses for the classes 6 to 10 and the students feel enthusiastic to received the certificate of completion  of their courses.

The school is smoothly running HUB of learning with 5 schools of the city.

Our school conducts CBSE Exams smoothly every year and we feel privileged to share that we have been entering the responsibility for Spot Evaluation Centre.

The Principal Dr. Kiran Dalal has successfully completed the 5 days School Health Programme at NCERT in August 2022 for Master Trainers.

Selected for 3 days Exposure visit to TIS Mumbai for CBSE.

The Principal is the CBSE City Coordinator Training and Deputy city coordinator Examination 2023-24 (Mains).

We have excellent facilities & infrastructure for Cricket, Swimming, Table Tannis, Taekwando, Archery, Skating, Chess, Football, Shooting, Badminton, Yoga Academy wherein the budding sportsmen are trained by expert coaches.

We strive to make the students self-reliant and independent through a plethora of activities. Our mission is to instil lifelong values that nurture humanity, create global citizens and give shape to a better world. We encourage students to participate in all kinds of sports activities, be it National, State or Cluster level. Our students outshine in different sports events: Daksh Kataria won Gold Medal in State Level Taekwondo Championship. Bright Shooters Lucky and Nikita secured 1^st Position in State level Tournament. Garima, Vanshika and Shampy exhibited their skills in National Archery Championship and won gold medal, Jivesh, Jitesh and Yashasvi won silver medal in national Archery Championship. Bright swimmers Iraj Sehrawat, Anav Malik, Devansh Kalson, Purvansh Verma bagged Gold Medal in State Level Swimming Championship, Yashika and Ayanveer Khatri and daksh Khatri won Silver medal in State level Swimming Championship. Gourav Khatkar and Siya Malik grabbed Gold Medal in National level skating Championship Lakshita, Ravya and Hitansh won gold medal in State level Chess Tournament. Vikransh and Nandish represented Bright Scholar in State Level Football Championship. Srishty Dahiya brought laurels for the school by grabbing many medals at district and state level competitions participated in CBSE Inter School North Zone – II Swimming Championship and has been declared as Best Swimmer and selected for Nationals.

Renowned International Cricket Umpire (ICC) Mr Anil Chaudhary inaugurated the cricket pitch in our school to provide best quality training to the students. It is not just a physical addition to the school’s sports facilities but also an embodiment of the values such integrity, perseverance, and a passion for the spirit of cricket in students.

We believe in giving a listening ear, and a caring touchto every child. We have a counselling cell named Prabha at school which conducts sessions covering mental well-being. Personality development, child safety, discipline, and many other issues. The school in collaboration with My Peegu is contributing to the holistic development of its stakeholders through various student workshops.

Atal Tinkering Laboratory in the school is a platform for the young minds wherein they learn innovation skills, sculpt ideas through hands-on activities, social and cross cultural collaboration, ethical leadership and so on.

The Young Scientists of Bright Scholar Sr. Sec. School participated in Atmanirbhar Bharat, State Level ATL tinkering Exhibition at DAV Centenary Public School, Jind and showcased their sheer excellence in the fields of 3D Printing and Modelling, Robotics, Drone and its applications brought laurels for the school by securing 1^st Position.

Our extracurricular programmes including morning assembly, grooming hours activities, sports, clubs and community service opportunities, allow students to develop leadership skills and explore their interests outside of the classroom. Pastoral care, NCC, Scout and Guides, School Health Programmes are the regular features of school curriculum. We develop leadership skills among the students by providing them a platform by electing School council members and prepare them shoulder responsibilities with utmost sincerity.

We had exchange programme with Lusitania Da Coragem Nasce A Sabedoria to bridge the gap between national and foster global understanding and camaraderie. It was a great learning experience for our students.

Throughout the year, we organized a wide range of events and activities that enriched the lives of our students. Our students Somya and Chetanya won prizes in the Inter School Declamation Contest. We successfully conducted the Inter School Shlok Gayan Competition in our school wherein our students got 1^st Position. Our students won many prizes in Inter School district. Brightians participated in Geeta Hackathon 2K22 and secured first two positions. Judges appreciated the ideas of young brightians a lot and participats were awarded with cash prize of 21000 and 11000 respectively.
